Inspired by a recipe from Tom Kerridge and as a nod to the Irish methods of making bread, I decided to make soda bread. This is bread without yeast, which uses buttermilk and bicarbonate of soda. So, here it is. Clearly getting a bit burnt. Time to.remove from oven. Hurrah, bread!
Project made using brass Zippo and Dremel engraver. Factory supplied diamond-tip drill bit on 1/5 setting. Needs a polish with some Brasso but looks okay.
So, I tried making bread again. Came out better this time. Here’s a cross section Next week I will add more yeast and use a touch more salt as the ‘brake’.
